March 2nd, 2008...we have a roll over! On Sunday, Riley actually rolled over from back to tummy. He had previously rolled from belly to back, but that's easier than back to belly. Riley has been playing with the idea of a complete roll over for a while. We'd find him laying on his side, kicking and playing, but he'd never go over all the way. So on Sunday, Kim put Riley on the floor to play for a while. We kicked and talked...and then out of the blue, Riley turned on his left side and pushed himself over. He got his left arm stuck under his body and began to get very frustrated. That's when the tears started! He was crying and wiggling around, trying to get that arm out. Kim decided not to help him, but to let him figure the situation out for himself. Yeah...instead, she got on the floor and started taking pictures of the poor kid in agony! HA! Within a minute, Riley had that arm unstuck and sure enough, he completed an entire roll over. We were so proud of him (Kim had a few tears!) and he was sure proud of himself. Now...Riley is mobile. We'll probably be finding him on the other side of the room now, wondering how the heck he got there. Look out, world! Riley Reese O'Neill is on the move!
